This page has information about the next round of the Quaker Peace & Service Aotearoa New Zealand (QPSANZ) Local Peace Grants, and the Loxley Award for 2011.

  • Local Peace Grants
  • QPSANZ invites applications for grants of up to $500 to assist with non-violent local peace work anywhere within Aotearoa New Zealand. The next deadline for applications is 31 October 2010.

    • applicants need not be Quakers;

    • preference is given to work which is new and/or innovative in content - a one-off occasion (constructing a mobile peace stall, printing/ advertising, inter-faith peace conference, peace/green fair, non-violence training day) or for a longer project (eg. restorative justice or a new organisation);

    • the deadlines for Local Peace Grants are 30 April (grants decided in May) and 31 October (grants decided in November) each year.

  • Loxley Award for 2011
  • QPSANZ invites applications for the Loxley Award for 2011 - a grant of up to $10,000 established to assist New Zealand Quakers or non-Quakers to undertake a study programme or project of their choosing, in New Zealand or abroad, which promotes understanding of peace, justice and environmental issues. Applications close on 31 October 2010.
