The Balkans Crisis

Petition to the New Zealand Government and Members of Parliament

We, the undersigned request you to take urgent steps to seek an immediate United Nations intervention in the crisis in the Balkans in order to avert further bloodshed and loss of life and spreading of the war.

United Nations intervention which should include:

• A call for ending to the bombing of Yugoslavia and all hostilities in the region.
• Immediate and massive aid to all refugees and their safe return to their homes for those who so desire and aid to all victims of the bombing all over Yugoslavia.
• A UN convened conference of all parties to agree on peaceful means to endeavour to work for comprehensive peace settlement in the region.
