In memory of
Dorothy Brown

Dorothy

Dorothy Brown died peacefully at home on Monday, 28 November 2011.

This is a time of deep sadness for us here at Peace Movement Aotearoa, for the Anglican Pacifist Fellowship, the Aotearoa New Zealand Peace and Conflict Studies Centre Trust, and the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, as well as the many other organisations and networks Dorothy was involved with, and everyone who knew her.

Dorothy was a keenly committed and passionate advocate for peace and justice - as a life-long educator and, as those who know her know so well, working tirelessly for the establishment of a Peace and Conflict Studies centre here in Aotearoa New Zealand. An energetic, articulate, thoughtful, and caring woman with a great sense of humour, Dorothy was, and is, an inspiration to everyone whose life she touched. We will miss her very much. Our thoughts are with Dorothy's family and friends at this time.
